- Link two units deliberately: Name the shared idea, then state how the context changes between the two units.
- Use a formula story: For every calculation, write formula, substitution, arithmetic, unit and a sentence interpreting the result.
Common mistakes
- Energy is used up: Say energy is transferred, stored or dissipated; conservation still applies.
- Current and potential difference are the same: Current is rate of flow of charge; potential difference is energy transferred per charge.
