Description

Chemical Composition of Biomolecules

Carbohydrates, fats, and proteins are essential biomolecules made up of specific chemical elements. Carbohydrates primarily consist of carbon (C), hydrogen (H), and oxygen (O). Fats, also known as lipids, are composed of carbon (C), hydrogen (H), and oxygen (O), but in different ratios compared to carbohydrates. Proteins are made up of carbon (C), hydrogen (H), oxygen (O), and nitrogen (N), and sometimes sulfur (S).
