Description

Pressure-Volume Relationship

A gas is contained in a cylinder with a movable piston. When the piston is pushed in, the volume of the gas decreases, and the pressure increases. Conversely, pulling the piston out increases the volume and decreases the pressure.

  1. a

State the relationship between pressure and volume for a fixed mass of gas at constant temperature.

Aim for approximately 1 distinct marking point.
