A student investigated the effect of different sugar solutions on pieces of celery. They cut three pieces of celery, each with an initial mass of 12.0 g. Piece 1 was placed in distilled water, Piece 2 in a 0.2 mol/dm³ sugar solution, and Piece 3 in a 1.0 mol/dm³ sugar solution. After 6 hours, the masses were recorded: Piece 1: 13.2 g Piece 2: 12.0 g Piece 3: 10.8 g Calculate the percentage change in mass for each piece of celery. Based on these results, explain what happened to Piece 3. [6 marks]
